Sketch Drawer

Sketch Drawer is a kind of photo editing software tool intended for converting photographs to pencil sketches. This program enables users to make usual photographs into exquisite pencil-drawn pictures, both black-and-white and colored. While creating a pencil sketch, you can choose your most preferred settings and options.

There are two ways you can edit photographs with SoftOrbits: manually and by aid of ready-made presets. These presets can be used as guides by beginners.

A real time preview would be useful, rather than having to click run every single time I want to see how it would look with a new preset at different settings or to test the same preset at different settings.

Fix the bugs that cause program to crash and lower the price by at least half. There are too many free alternatives that aren't as buggy.

have the program work! Starts to do its thing, teases you with a view of it in progress, then BAM! Crash city... and thats useing default settings, not trying anything fancy at all. Disappointing.

Could you divide the bitmap into as many sections as cores on the machine to take advantage of multiple processors? A tutorial on the website to use some of the other options would be nice to see too.

have a brush I could change the size, quality and direction of the pencil strokes in various portions of the image. As is it is all the same throughout.

open the program & actually use it without it crashing every time. I'm on Windows 8 & there are plenty of other sketch programs out there that don't crash all the time.

There is some confusion with the offer. There is a claim that if you post a review, you will get lifetime upgrades, But during instalation you are told that the review is for another program, which costs money. Pretty tricky stuff!

Be able to rescale the prgram window for smaller screens. I'm unable to use it on my netbook PC because the bottom and the right side of the window is out of view and reach, no matter what trick I tried. I had to uninstall it.

The Help program that comes with it refers to Sketch Converter. I'm not sure what the difference is. But one thing that I am struggling with is to find the 'Start' botton to start converting the photo. The Help menu does not seem to provide the step-

Get better language support that does not come from Google-Translate. GO means in German LOS and not LAUFEN which means WALKING..........

Also seeing the program crash about halfway thru the rendering process. Looks like it does better than the Paintshop Pro sketching plugin but I may never know since it keeps crashing.

Run without crashing on XP

Every time I run this software, it crashes. Not sure why. Looks like it has potential if I could use it and save the new file as an SVG.
